Summary
Kimiko understands wanting to numb pain. She knows what it is to long for an escape. And now, after Little Nina, she knows what it is that Frenchie’s trying to escape from.
So, for a day or two, she watches Frenchie drown himself. It feels a little like that film she watched with Annie once. The one with the boy and the girl on the boat that sinks. Kimiko is stuck on the door, floating in the black open sea, watching as Frenchie turns to ice in the water below.
OR: In the aftermath of Little Nina, Frenchie doesn't deal with things very well, and the Boys have to figure out how to save him - and the rest of the world at the same time.

Zoro enters for simple reasons: meat for his captain, money for his booze, and the need to reset his body after two years of suppressants. As preparations unfold, instincts sharpen, tempers flare, and familiar bickering starts to feel charged in ways neither swordsman nor cook wants to acknowledge. “-Zoro lost his ability to regulate his temperature. He won’t sweat, shiver, or be able to tell when he’s too hot or too cold. When he fought Luffy he pushed himself to hyperthermia without realising, and the heatstroke made him faint. Maintaining that temperature could cause heart and kidney failure, then major damage to his brain, and even-“ Chopper squeaked as he made eye contact with Zoro, who was giving him a disapproving look while he rolled the thermometer between his teeth with his tongue.
“We all know Mosshead doesn’t have the brain cells to spare getting brain damage, so what do we do?” Sanji piped up, earning a growl from Zoro across the room.
“There’s no solution quite like skin to skin contact. Hugs with as few layers as you’re comfortable with. Just like a baby bird!”
Sanji snorted, trying to reconcile the fuming swordsman with any kind of cute baby animal. Especially when Zoro looked like he was debating homicide or suicide, but it would surely be one of them.

Summary
That’s the downside to being family, to knowing each other as well as they do. Carmy said the ugliest things he could think of, fucking screamed them like a child throwing a tantrum, and Richie said I fucking love you, over and over again, and You fucking need me, and it felt like a threat, and Carmy couldn’t stand it. Still can’t.
