Summary
It rains in Naples, and Bernstein and Woodward accidentally fall in love. Or maybe they were already in love. Or maybe it’s just a one-time thing. Either way, it’s about a billion degrees inside and they’re not exactly getting a lot of work done.

Summary
"Staring out the window, Paul could see thin plumes of silver smoke rising from the rooftops of neighbouring buildings. The moon wasn't visible through the clouds. He watched the rising smoke with unfocused eyes until John came over and sat next to him on the bed. Paul felt the mattress sink down beneath his weight. The two of them were sliding gradually closer together. Eventually their legs would touch."
Or, a fairly predictable story about the Paris trip where there's a lot of wanking and the author has taken many liberties.

Summary
“There were a million things she wanted to say to John that night and didn't. That Paul still loved him though they both pretended to have never loved one another to begin with. That she'd been had by the stupid lie that Paul had always been softer and John sharper, and even worse, had really believed that Paul was the better man; that she had made the better choice. She had no doubt that John could have hurt her, too, but it would have been expected, somehow. In a way that this hadn't been.”
John and Linda end up together somehow and they talk and have a bad time.

Summary
"Paul always said that he wished he was not a boy who cried; but he was.
John wished that he could speak, but the words stuck in his throat as he watched the tears run down Paul's beautiful face and drip down onto the yellow linoleum floor of the kitchen of the house that he did not live in anymore. He watched helplessly and could not move or speak for a long instant stretching on as the rain began to fall and the windowpane rattled."
Or, the one where they fall in and out of love over the course of several years and John develops a metaphorical fixation on a jet called Concorde. Of course, everything works out alright in the end.

Summary
"Paul answered the phone on a January morning. Hearing the familiar voice singing through the lines, he gasped, momentarily oblivious to the exhaustion clouding every note.
'My god,' he said breathless, feeling like a child all over again at the Fete, flushed in the crowding presence of the boy leaning over his shoulder as he hunched over the piano,
'What took you so long? I've been worried sick.'"In an alternate universe where everyone is divorced (don't worry about it), John Lennon is still shot outside of the Dakota on the eighth of December, 1980; but in this one he lives.
Months later, he and Paul finally get together after a lot of scheduling conflicts, and it goes about how you'd expect.
