After being turned down time and time again by his university Professor, Phainon can't believe he gets to have dinner with Anaxa. But just in case he still isn't convinced after this date he has a plan B make sure he gets his chance to take care and spoil his cute prof.

Summary
The relationship between an informant and a crime lord is tenuous, only held together by the mutual benefits and tolerance for one another. Anaxa isn't stupid enough to believe in those sly smiles and small favors, but he preens himself and acts like he does all the same. Playing with the big leagues has its advantages too, but only if you're willing to take the risks.

There was no word for ‘love’ in the Kremnoan language. Mydei peeked over the edge of the dune, brows furrowed, to take in the sleek, pale buildings in the distance. They stood out amongst the lightening sky, flush greenery climbing up their tall, arched windows like healthy babes to their mothers. Dry grass that slowly transitioned into brighter, healthier patches waved in time with the waves as if they were beckoning him forward, closer to those mud-packed roads and bustling streets.
Or warning him.
A bark and bounding paws were the only hints Mydei received before a wriggling, whining ball of fluff skidded around the dune, kicking up more sand in his face as it climbed in his lap.
Mydei has always thought humans to be weak. How could he not, with their frail bodies and snake-like words? But perhaps even the great crown prince of Castrum Kremnos has a few things to learn from walking amongst the enemy, particularly about his so-called 'sentiments' for the most beloved man in Okhema.

He expects arguing, or something at all in resistance, but her face just scrunches up and she curls in on herself. A choked noise escapes her and she stiffens for a moment, then shudders and gasps like she’s crying, but no tears run, like she’s run out of them already.
He glances at her bed. There’s a wet splotch on her pillow and a pile of chocolate bar wrappers beside her crumpled blanket.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers, slipping one hand under her knees and the other around her back.
