Summary
You knew him on Ran's station, but that was a long time ago. When you find the Mandalorian again and ask for his help on a job, you are reminded that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
This story consists of two parts woven together, and will skip back and forth between the present-day timeline, set after the end of season two and before the events of BoBF, and the past timeline, set pre-canon, when the Mandalorian lived and worked off of Ran's station as a hired gun and pilot.

9 ABY, Nar Shaddaa
Mando and Amara are strangers when they meet.
Mando is in search of a quarry on the Smuggler's Moon, and upon discovering the bounty he unexpectedly comes across a woman. Due to the circumstances she winds up travelling alongside him.
Amara is the slave to a lowly criminal, who sells faulty equipment in a back-alley junk shop. On some unsuspecting day he is apprehended by a Mandalorian bounty hunter. Then, Amara begs for a ride off of the crime infested moon.
It sounds simple at first, but their fates become intertwined when Amara finds herself being hired on as a crew member by Mando.

Being Karga's best hunter is grueling work. The rewards are decent, at least - I get the pick of all quarries; the best jobs with the best pay.
But I just can't shake the feeling that I want more out of life than this.
It's not that it's particularly difficult, it's just... dull. It's not a challenge anymore.
