Link wakes up 99 years after the fallout of Calamity Ganon, a single year away from full restoration. Because of this miscalculation, the world is empty by the time he realizes that he's alive. Those ears said to be endowed by Hylia cannot hear, and there is no one to warn Link of the dangers of the world; no one to tell him who he is, why he is here, and how much he had lost.
Can this lie of a new life be considered an act of mercy from the Goddess?

Tsunade’s eyes flicked to him. “Yes, Shikamaru. I realize. I’m not blind.”
“It snowed all night.” Shikamaru pressed. “The paths are buried, visibility’s low, and you’re asking us to walk a whole day in that.”
“It’s a day’s worth of travel in normal conditions.” She corrected. “With the snow, it might be slightly longer.”
