The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
With one sweep of his cane, Shadow Milk tears it apart.

The portal was right there. Shadow Milk was going to escape and other was no chance they would ever find them again. Not until the beasts unleashed their dark plans throughout the land of both Beast Yeast and Crispea
So Pure Vanilla makes a choice.
A choice he might yet regret, considering he's now put the master of lies right next to his ear. Perched atop his head
Or: Beast Yeast episode 8 but instead of getting away Shadow Milk is defeated and sealed inside Vanilla's new hat.

Peak characterizationnnn right here, lowkey one of the best characterization of these two I’ve seen, i often feel like i can’t imagine the character’s voice when reading a fic but that was NOT an issue here, it’s bite sized and ig incomplete for now, but it’s really good 😋

Summary
Vanilla had his grievances with the idol that his kid listened to. But he also did want to discourage them from indulging in the stuff they like, it didn’t work when he tried to anyway. So upon Crepe finding out that there was going to be a fan meetup in their area, they practically begged their dad to go for them, since they had school. Vanilla wasn’t expecting to be accidentally flirted with by an admittedly cute guy.
