Summary
36-year old Sonic got dumped again for his colorful and "chaotic" personality. He just wanted to find someone who will accept him as he is. Noticing how down their friend is feeling, Blaze and Amy decides to take him to party at the club, hoping to cheer him up. While partying Sonic gets an unexpected text message which makes him more upset and while running out of the club to get some needed air he crashes into young, handsome drummer who turns his ruined night into fun, amazing and unforgettable one. But is Sonic too old for the 22 year old Shadow to keep this thing going on before it gets too serious? He already feels so much for the young man even though they don't know each other that well and it scares him.
He also has to think about his 2 year old daughter, he has to be a good example for her.
This fic is inspired by two amazing writers and their fics. MalewifeShadow's "Lit Like A Cigarette" and Warp_luna's "Sweeter With Age".

Summary
Shadow already dislikes being an omega, a presentation unbefitting of the Ultimate Lifeform, but his unique biology lends to his heat cycles being out of sync with all other hedgehogs. For years, he's toughed it out alone and just dealt with it, only trusting his secret with his dearest friend Rouge. But, of course, his awful luck would land him in a situation where all of that falls apart. An unexpected storm, a sudden heat and a few unfortunate situations leave him stranded in Rouge's vacation home with the last person he ever would have wanted to see him like this. There's no way he deserves any of this— not the shameful reveal, not the humiliating vulnerability, and certainly not the acceptance and kindness Sonic offers him.
Age and circumstance have changed their dynamic, so maybe its time Sonic and Shadow reassess where they stand.
