Summary
Garrett Hawke works in a bakery and loves baseball. His favorite team - the Kirkwall Champions - has signed one of the hottest players in the league: a cocky young pitcher named Anders.
As one of Garrett's favorite players (and current crush), he can't believe it when the ace comes strolling into his bakery one day, on the hunt for the perfect croissant. Then he returns a few weeks later...and things really start to get interesting.
Author's Note: You don't need to understand/like baseball to enjoy this story. Rated E stuff starts in chapter 6.

Summary

Summary
Life after Johnny was meant to be a pipe dream, but turns out it’s a nightmare.
V and Johnny had entered Mikoshi alone, with the intention of only one of them returning. But life had other plans. Rogue’s guilty conscience and Spider Murphy’s meddling managed to grow Johnny a new body, but seemingly at the expense of his memories. Back in realspace but with no recollection of his time an an engram, Johnny Silverhand just can’t believe that he ever managed to coexist in the head for a Corpo drone like V, let alone be friends with her. No matter, his life was his own again and the 2070s didn’t know what was about to hit it.
As for V? The guy she was willing to give her life for suddenly, once again, hates her guts, and though she’s gained a new lease on life, finding a reason to live it might just be difficult.
But as V makes her peace with losing the Johnny she’d come to love, the rockerboy finds himself haunted by emptiness and the distinct feeling that something is missing. Night City was no paradise, but for two souls who ought to have been in the afterlife, it can get a little messy in heaven…

Summary
The plan was, as far as he was concerned, for him to go and for her to stay. But as she tells him goodbye and shoves him into the well, he wakes up on the other side in her body and without her. Struggling with his new reality, Johnny must make a choice: take the second chance she gave him that he doesn’t deserve or go against her wishes and bring her back.
Unable to cope with a new reality without her in it, Johnny leaves Night City to get help with his first stop being someone from his past. His only goal is to bring her back, why would he care about anything else? There’s nothing else that matters.
And yet, he always forgets one thing before it’s too late: V is just as stubborn as he is.
