Mr. Interview looks nothing short of relieved when the director twirls his finger in the universal sign for “wrap it up.” This strikes Ilya as very dramatic, he was not even mean to bigoted Mr. Interview.

Summary
It’s 8:38 pm in California and Bobby Nash is dead. Bobby Nash, the man who was Evan’s surrogate father. Tommy’s realized since the break up that he didn’t fully understand Evan, but he did know some of him, at least. He’s always known this. He’s always know the way Evan looked up to Bobby, admired him, and went to him for advice. He knows the specific way that Evan doesn’t talk to his biological father, at least not more than a few passing words under the guise of niceties.
Tommy watches Evan break down on the security camera and knows what he has to do next. He’ll give himself two more minutes and then he’ll do it. Two minutes to pretend that he’s the one Evan needs, that he can be the one who gets him through this. But he’s not, and he can’t.
At 9:40 pm in El Paso, Eddie’s phone rings.
~~~~~Or, Tommy calls Eddie and tells him to get his ass to LA. Everything changes. (Was originally going to be Buddie but I started redeeming Tommy for plot reasons and I think it’s a why choose now. Idk. I’ll update tags as appropriate)

Summary
He hears Buck step towards him, and braces himself for the inevitable blow. Instead, Buck drops a hand on his shoulder and uses the same, vaguely flirty voice he put on the time he thought he caught him watching porn.
“Eddie, you don’t have a basement. Are you going to shove me in closet or something? Not really loving the idea of going back in.”
Manic laughter overtakes him. Buck joins him, and the sound is pure light.
“Buckley, I told you I want to cut off your leg, tie you up, and lock you in my basement, and your only comments are that I don’t have a basement and a closet joke? You need to get your head checked.”
“Well, I’ve never had any complaints about my head but feel free to do that check any time.”

People always assumed that Plutarch Heavensbee was grateful for his last name, but it was his first that he was truly attached to. Sure, Heavensbee was a strong name. Powerful, sometimes. Wealthy beyond imagination, always. After all, his great, great, ect grandfather was the Father of Panem. So it was a good name. A really good name, unless you were also a Plutarch, which he was.

Summary
James was once again in over his head. He’d never been in over his like this though. No, this was an entirely new beast. This boy was an entirely new beast, one who made James’ mouth water and his thoughts wander to places they’d surely never gone before. He made James feel like the smallest spells might spontaneously turn into FiendFyre. He made James feel depraved.
It started innocently enough, or as innocently as anything involving his best mate's brother could be. It started with him casually brushing against James in the hallway. It was all very casual, but it was too casual. He thought he was smooth, but James could see right through him. He never brushed against anyone, let alone James Potter. James knew then that he’d end up right here, on his knees in front of the most beautiful boy he’d ever seen. James tried to tell Remus this back when it happened, but Remus just stared at him for a while before asking if he was feeling alright.

Summary
When practice is done and he’s showered, he checks his phone.
The 16 messages from Lily are expected with Ilya traveling to Detroit this week. Ilya has a strong but unsupported hatred of Detroit. The ‘vibes are bad Shane’ was the last claim Shane had heard and he is prepared to read even less substantiated claims.
He’s unprepared to see a group chat he’s been added to.
Shane is only a part of a few group chats. One that Rose put together with a bunch of her not out queer friends that he keeps muted but likes to scroll through every once in a while (they have good memes). The group chat with the whole team he only keeps up with for Captain Reasons but keeps it muted too. The one with both of his parents that his mom uses more often than her single thread with him cause ‘Your Dad deserves to be in the loop too’. And finally the one with Jackie and Hayden which is mostly him and Jackie bullying Hayden and Hayden being increasingly frustrated with their antics.

Summary

Eddie knows he’s never been good at grieving, knows he’s never been good at losing what little he allows for himself in the first place. This is why he also knows his coping mechanisms can’t possibly get any worse.

Summary
The voice had always been around, Eddie remembers it, like a stream of consciousness that babbled incoherently to the point where Eddie just tuned it out.
But then the voice started speaking directly to him. Conversing like he was a whole person standing right in front of him. Like he could see what was happening around Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. No one was talking to him, and Eddie most certainly was not talking back.
He wouldn’t talk to the boy in his head ever again. There was no boy in his head.

Summary
Evan “Buck” Buckley was not an honest person as much as he would like to be or even was trying to be in his own way. His dishonesty wasn’t malicious in the slightest though. He had his reasons, of course, but his entire identity was built on a shaky Jenga tower of lies. As much as he built it up, one by one the blocks were still removed over the years making the tower less and less stable.
Buck joined the 118 fresh out of the Navy and braced himself for all the questions that were about to come his way which he did not want to answer. Then, like a gift from above, somehow and shockingly, no one had read his resume, and he found he could start all over again, be a new person, someone completely different or maybe who he was supposed to be all along.
