Summary
"I-Ilya..." Shane forces himself to look at the man sitting beside him, his heart swimming in barbed wire. "Tell me he's lying. Tell me this is some sort of fucked up joke."
Shane has never seen Ilya this angry. The look on his face is nothing short of murderous. The beer in his hand is close to shattering into pieces with how aggressively Ilya is gripping it. His jaw clenched so hard that Shane thinks his teeth will crack.
But under all the anger and embarrassment clawing at his features, Shane sees something else lying underneath.
Pure, raw, unfiltered, guilt.
Or: Shane and Ilya are navigating their "not a relationship" relationship. Secretly. Shane is happy, but it doesn't last long, when he finds out it was all a lie, and his world comes crashing down.
