Eleven years ago, only a decade old himself, Sonic the Hedgehog stood up to the villainous Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Then he did it again. And again, and again, and again. He made allies. He made enemies. He made a name for himself in a way he never thought he would— he was just a guy who loved adventure. He wasn’t a hero. He’d never wanted to make the sacrifices that a hero was apparently expected to.
He did, because that’s what a good person did. And when he’d done it, he called it quits. Because that’s what a person deserved to do.
Until four years later, at least.

Nine has never quite liked interacting with others. His chaos energy makes him a sure target for the Chaos Council, so being a hermit has always just seemed like the better option. When he suddenly gets an odd energy reading, he almost shrugs it off. Yet he checks anyways.
Who would’ve thought he’d get dragged into helping some stupid hedgehog because of it.

What if Nine replaced Tails in the movies?
Oh, long story short, the Chaos Council does exist but it’s slightly different. I’m still working on it. Also, the first chapter is basically establishing Nine’s goals, how he first saw Sonic (similar to movie Tails), and his current living situation.
