Four days after the first — and only — time Brainstorm vigorously frags Perceptor up against the wall in the small, unused storage room adjacent to their laboratory, Perceptor pauses next to the laboratory table, looking over the cluttered workspace and asks, "Is this a personal project?"
Brainstorm and Perceptor are fragging. Well. Have fragged. Exactly once. They were deep in a bottle of engex and it was definitely all three of the top three hottest moments of Brainstorm's life.
Brainstorm wants to do it again — very badly — but he has a little problem.

Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.
“You'll like the Lost Light,” said Rodimus. “Everyone gets a second chance, there. You wanna stay here forever?”

“What are you doing?”
“Percy! Hi!” Brainstorm’s voice is a note too high, just a hint too desperate, for the attempt at casual he’s clearly trying for. He turns, leaning on the window like he wasn’t just trying to pull it open, and incidentally proving Perceptor’s speculation behind the reasons for all of this correct in the process. “I’m just, uh… testing the, uh…”
He looks around the room like it’ll give him an excuse, but there isn’t one to be found. Hesitantly, Perceptor takes a step toward him, but stops when it makes Brainstorm balk like a trapped animal. “Brainstorm. Tell me why you’re bleeding.”
Brainstorm's latest invention puts him in a rough spot; go to the medics for help and have his recently-lax freedoms restricted for committing science unsupervised in his habsuite, or let Perceptor help him instead, when said help just so happens to require baring his spark.

Cyclonus grasps at Tailgate’s hand and slowly lifts it palm up towards his face. It tickles when Cyclonus kisses it, a tiny, delightful electric charge that skids from the little point of contact, down his arm and blooms in Tailgate’s chest.
