    Summary

Peter Parker/Roger’s best friend is Bucky Barnes, who has the biggest crush on his older brother...Steve Rogers. Tonight, Bucky seems to find himself stranded at Peter's house amidst a snowstorm with nobody other than Steve, which seems like a dream come true for the recently presented omega.

Steve has to keep his composure as a parental figure and an alpha, which proves difficult when their night becomes complicated under the pressure of no electricity, no light, and no...heat.

    Summary

    The scent was all.

The scent was all, and he’d lost it.

He staggered through the burning woods, desperate for shelter, for water, for air, along the only path the fire permitted him, a rock ledge that overlooked the river, stained brown from all the blood, all the carnage of the battle that still raged in the valley below. A fog of black, sooty smoke loomed in between the trees, but thinned out on the ledge. He cradled his mangled arm as he lurched forward, forward on a pair of swollen ankles, shackle-scarred legs, desperate for escape from he knew not what.

He only knew it was evil—pure, invincible evil—and if he shifted, they would have him. His wolf was fierce but fair-minded, a creature of instinct and hunger—and instinct, he had discovered, could be manipulated, wielded, owned.

The man with no name would die before he would be owned again.

In which Bucky is a lonely, determined, but tormented wolf searching for his mate while shepherding an adorable pack of rescue dogs around the West Coast, and Steve is the righteous but grief-stricken Alpha of an idyllic werewolf pack, who'll do anything it takes to keep his wolves safe under the constant threat of a HYDRA attack.

    Summary

It’s not easy being a werewolf, but Steve Rogers knows he’s lucky. Lehigh's doing well under his care, the humans and werewolves thriving. He doesn't have a mate, but a bonding like that is rare, and with all the members of his Pack already mated, he knows it’s not going to happen for him.

Until the day it does, the realization literally knocking him on his ass.

That’s fine; he can deal. He’s an alpha after all, and while there are rules to courting when one’s mate is human, he knows he can prove his worth. Except no one told him how hard it would be. And Steve is really bad at this. Really, REALLY bad.

After a couple of rough years, Bucky Barnes is back on his feet and ready to start a new phase of his life. He’s been given a second chance and while Lehigh might not be as big as NYC, he loves his apartment, chonk of a cat, new job and crazy neighbors.

Except things have started to get weird. Maybe it’s because of all the werewolves in town, although he’s never had a problem before. Yet he can’t help but notice things have changed, with people staring at him wherever he goes, asking him strange questions, and stealing his lunch.

And it all started when a watermelon was left on his doorstep.

    Summary

Contrary to what most people assume, Steve likes the twenty-first century. True, it’s taken some getting used to and there have definitely been challenges; namely the public’s fascination with his personal life, folks more interested in Captain America than Steve as a person, and his teams’ endless attempts at setting him up with someone, no matter how many times he tells them to stop. Aside from that, Steve thinks he’s done OK adapting to this new world, and is nowhere near as old fashioned as most think. Except for one thing, a secret longing he’s had from back when he was poor, small and seldom given a second glance; having a professional matchmaker help him find his dreamed for omega, a partner to share den with and who would invite him into their Nest. But they no longer exist. Or so he thinks. Until a stroke of good fortune brings him into contact with Judith Bergmann, who introduces him to an omega named Bucky Barnes.

Told in five parts, what follows is a slow courtship filled with plenty of obstacles, and threats big and small, but also letters, food, laughter, pedicures, lace panties, Pop Tarts, Steve displaying his colors, two ball busting dogs, a feline terrorist, and most importantly, love.

    Summary

"He wondered if Bucky ever looked at those same lights and thought about him, too. If he ever thought about dusty roads and cheap motels."

Surviving the Grand Canyon was just the first step. Now, Steve Rogers is trying to survive the real world.

He buried the memories. The guilt. The man he loved.

But then there’s Bucky—alive, unpredictable, and impossible to forget.

This isn’t about the past anymore.
It’s about what happens when you finally start living again… and realize you don’t want to do it alone. And, apparently, learning how to take care of a goldfish.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    TOP TIER STUCKY!

The first part is major angst but so beautifully written and the second part makes it all worth it. Best example of confronting grief and healing I've read in a really long time. Must read part 1 first.
