Summary
What does a rookie cop from New York and a Zoroark in the Unovan Department of Intelligence have in common? Other than being the duo that tries to save a Pokemon region from collapsing into war? Not much.
The year is 1993 and Unova is quickly falling into disarray. With living conditions worsening and a populace increasingly agitated by the newly formed “Team Plasma”, the idea of Pokemon liberation has been pushed to the forefront of Unova’s political scene as a way to alleviate the region’s problems. Standing in the forefront against chaos and disorder is the UDI. These brave men and women (and Pokemon) work together to stop those who wish to do harm on the region and its inhabitants. This story focuses on one group in particular, the Organized Crimes Task force.
The task force and their seven members, each with their own faults and strengths, try to navigate Unova's political and criminal underworld. But the world isn't kind, dark idealism and overpowering truths threaten to destroy both the region and the very people who are trying to save it.
Justice, danger, and maybe even love awaits those who are brave enough to try. For the new year has arrived, and Castelia welcomes you with open arms.

Summary
In a world where Pokémon and their regions exist in a world similar to our own, things are bound to be different.
The year is 1998, California. Ninja, a name feared all around the criminal underworld for her exploits. She's done jobs all across the globe, stealing Relic Crowns, killing mob bosses, and doing almost anything shady you could think of for the right price. No one really knows who she is, and the few that knew who she really was are long dead. Or so she thought. While Ninja may not be human, she certainly understands what it means to have committed a grave mistake, and she's made a mistake she made in her past life that no amount of shurikens could fix. For so long, she's spent her years trying to forget, but you can only run from your past for so long.
Jackson, a man down on his luck whose family is threatened by loan sharks. Ninja wouldn't have thought anything of the human but after she receives a picture revealing who he really is, she realizes he's the only person who can help fix her past mistake, and maybe, just maybe, he could be the way she redeems herself.
But it's never easy that easy, is it?
