Summary
Cullen Rutherford is an INTERPOL agent, stationed in Denerim. He is a stoic, hard-working officer of the law, who dutifully goes home to his wife and two small children at the end of his day. His life is boring, but respectable, and he doesn't expect it to change.
Marianne Trevelyan is a free-wheeling, jet-setting party girl. So what if she's distributed molly through her own network at every big music festival on the planet? Nobody got hurt - that she knows of, at least.
Marianne is wanted for drug trafficking and illegal weapon sales in both the Free Marches and Orlais. As a consort with very, VERY close ties to an international smuggling ring, every drug enforcement agent in Thedas wants to know who she knows, where she goes, and what she's been a witness to.
This should be a standard case for Agent Rutherford — except when Marianne Trevelyan is brought into his office in handcuffs, nothing goes according to plan or protocol.
She will do anything to walk away a free woman and disappear back into her world of nightclubs, raves, and rock concerts where she is most confortable.
But he quickly becomes determined to never let her go.

Summary
Aleu was born in the musky dungeons of Amon Lanc at the end of the First Age; an ethereal creature who had the ability to take the form of a white dragon with feathery wings. Her master, King Oropher of the Greenwood, found her egg thinking it were a star fallen from the heavens. Much to his distaste, this treasure was actually an other-worldly being. Oropher's heart blackened for he thought this creature was a dark omen brought to his people as punishment for not crossing the sea to seek Valinor. With dark forces beginning to seep from the cracks of Middle-Earth the King felt he could shape his newfound burden into something beneficial. So he undertook the task of shaping Aleu into a weapon. Through her dark and dismal torture, a soft light reached out from the damp darkness of her cage, which took the shape of a boy. A young and naive Prince Thranduil befriended the broken dragoness, and gave her, her first taste of kindness and compassion.
