    Katsuki had to admit, growing deaf over the years had made him angry.

    Not knowing what to do with it, he directed his anger towards a certain green haired boy, pushing him away. Izuku got the hint, he left Katsuki alone.

    Now in their final years of highschool, Katsuki notices something... different, about Izuku. Tired eyes, bruised face and failing grades from a once star student. Something wasn't right, and he was set on finding out what. However, Katsuki would have no idea the unexpected situations this decision would lead him to.

    Or alternatively,

    Katsuki's a pining fool for a struggling Izuku, who's subject to an unfair amount of life's difficulties. A life where the motto 'it can't get any worse' doesn't exist.

    Alternate Title Bakugo Katsuki; The Sweetest Bully

    “Bakugo got suspended for a week for beating up six dudes who were spreading nasty rumours about you.”

    “Huh?” Izuku stared at Shinso with a growing sense of confusion.

    “Yeah man! Principal Nezu couldn't take it anymore. Bakugo would just pancake anyone against the wall who talked shit about you and your mom. Apparently he had given a warning the first few times. But Bakugo wouldn't stop his rage rampage no matter what so he suspended him.” Shinso confirmed, looking entertained.

    Izuku was still staring at his two friends with a flabbergasted expression. Bakugo beating up people to defend him was the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. Bakugo fighting with others wasn't much of a surprise since he definitely had anger issues. But for him? Nah! Not possible. Why? Because Katsuki Bakugo was his bully.

    (In which Izuku doesn't understand Bakugo's love language...until he does)

    With Katsuki, Izuku felt like he was constantly losing a war he wasn’t even aware of fighting, as if he was taking a leisurely stroll around the block and only reaching the finish line made him realize he was supposed to be running in a competition.

    Being around Katsuki made Izuku feel like, somewhat, he wasn’t enough.
    Like he wasn’t smart enough, or athletic enough, or pretty enough.
    It was like looking out of the window and smiling at how sunny it was, only to get out of the house for it to start pouring down on his head, mocking him for his naivety with an evil sneer.
    Anyway, Izuku learned the hard way to stay as far from Katsuki as he could. Which wasn’t that far unfortunately.

    "I love you," three words that were unwilling to spill out of Midoriya's mouth. He always felt filthy near Bakugo, this ugly feeling of loss and guilt. It made him purge like it was the plague.

    He hated the idea of loving a man, and loving a man who was better than him in every way.
    It was stupid, but society narrated the story of two men who shouldn't be together, and if they were? They'd have to narrate the story of a heterosexual couple.

    And now that Izuku was quirkless?

    He was the weak one.
    he was the woman.

    And he didn't want to be inferior, he wanted to be the masculine heroic hero All Might was.

    He was the symbol of peace.

    And yet Katsuki hadn't learned the language of love, he didn't recognise the hatred and inferiority beside Midoriya as admiration. Till he learnt it, and he adored it.

    Yet he'll never be seen.
    So now they pretend, and puppet around. Like idiots, as if they cannot speak, they don't have the skill to express their fears, hopes and loves for the other.

    As they have to pretend.
    That's what the queer kids do, isn't that right? All we do is pretend.
