Summary
Mu Qing wraps his arms around Feng Xin. His forehead rests against his back. Warmth radiates from him, body still now, poised with a knife in one hand and a half-chopped zucchini in the other. They stand there. Mu Qing feels his own heart beat. He exhales, mouth open, and tightens his grip.
The knife clatters to the cutting board. Feng Xin shifts, dislodging Mu Qing from his back, and it hardly matters because then he's turned and his hands, smelling of zucchini, are on Mu Qing's face, and he's frowning, and then he's kissing him.
