"Bastard's not invited to the party, is he?"
Jon didn't recognize this voice that called out to him. He opted to ignore it and its patronizing tone and continued rhythmically striking the training dummy, grunting with the exertion of each swing. He heard footsteps moving closer and debated whether he should continue ignoring whoever it was or turn around and face them.
"The bastard doesn't talk, either?"
He knew this man was taunting him, but he'd have to respond eventually.
"I'm nice to those who are nice to me," Jon paused to say, then continued swinging his sword. After a few more strikes, the next time he reared his hand back to swing, the man grabbed his wrist and kept him from doing so.
"Perhaps I can find a way to be nice to you."***
Jon meets a different Lannister outside the feast in the pilot episode. One with much darker intentions..
