Summary
This is my and my siblings' collection of hosts. Their stories. Some are simple. Some are complicated. We found each on the brink of death, or dead, all with so much life left in their bones. We promised help, in return for just vengeance.
Some of them took vengeance loudly, burning themselves into folktales for the rest of eternity. Some protected the innocent with the warmth of a hearth fire. Some, most, do both. That is, become both the warmth of the flame and the story told around it. It really does depend on which of us is within that host.
All we need to operate is a heart ablaze with something. Rage, grief, hope, any will suffice. We've lived in assassins, vigilantes, activists, and adventurers. We've been the fuel of devastation you couldn't dream of and help in situations not even I expected to be helpful in.
Some say that Death's embrace is cold. But my partners, siblings, and I have always had something to say to that, no matter who had been a host at the time:
When Death comes for you, she is never faster than us, us Ghosts and our Riders. Her embrace is cold, but your miserable self will never be able to feel it. It'll be too busy burning.

Summary
There was a certain promise that Umbra made in his heart when he first laid eyes on his son. A loyalty, a solemn commitment to one thing: Isaah's happiness and well-being, no matter what.
Or, the one where I write sweet scenes of Isaah growing up and end with the Sacrifice, as well as giving more meaning to Umbra's scarf.

Summary
Crimson, like the petals of a poppy, her favorite flower, and his favorite color. Crimson, like the blood shed by cruel men. Like the one that murdered her husband and son.
Titanium, like the metal shunted aside by the tastes of the higher castes, disliked for its grey color, but strong. Titanium, like the framework of a building, standing strong against the setting sun, alone.
The Orokin, like any great empire, would fall. The Tenno, led by her children, would rise.
Her family's blood demanded no less.Series

Summary
Bruce doesn’t know what’s wrong with his child, but he’s pretty sure kids aren’t meant to work like this.
From the day he had looked up into the tops of the circus tent and saw a frightened mirror image of a boy who had just experienced the worst day of his life, Bruce had instantly gone into emergency mode.
The Gotham PD had wanted to pass the boy off into the care of the circus. The circus had mumbled underneath their breaths about superstitions, about not having a boy like that with them, about not being able to handle something like Dick. So GCPD, not knowing what to do, had started talking about one of the handful of overburdened boy homes that handles a majority of Gotham’s unlucky orphans.
All the while, the camera lights flash bright and loud, wanting to know everything.
Bruce couldn’t let that happen.
Not then, not ever again.

Bruce is trying his best to protect the city that he loves. He doesn't know how exactly his Robins came to be- they're not fully human, not even at all. All he knows is that he wants to keep them safe.

Summary
For as long as Ed and Al could remember, their uncle Reyes had been a part of their life. Uncle Reyes was odd—he always wore an eye-patch, and never told them any stories about childhood—yet they loved him anyways. But when Ed and Al commit the ultimate taboo by trying to bring their mother back from the dead, they learn that their uncle's past—and a strange, mysterious man they meet in the desert town of Liore—is tied to a dangerous secret that threatens to tear their country apart.
A retelling of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, in which Wrath escaped from Father after being created and ended up becoming Ed and Al's guardian.
Also known as: the fic where the other homunculi are all created within the same twenty-two years, and how that changes everything.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Summary
“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
The woman wasted no time, striding through the halls, introducing herself to any and every clone she crossed paths with. General Organa, she said. Leia, if any of them wanted to address her informally.
Her shadows pressed the ‘informal’ aspect a little harder.
