Jisung shakes his head, eyes downcast. “I think the only reason I’m talking to you right now is ‘cause I performed CPR eight minutes ago.”
There’s a gentle touch beneath his chin, lifting his gaze back to Minho. “Die and come back, sweetheart, that’s the combo.”
“But you gotta die first.” Jisung grabs his wrist again, his words firm, “and that’s not allowed to happen with me around.”

Minho had never learned to swim. At all. Like an axe thrown into the water, he would just tense up and sink straight to the bottom. Ironically, he lived in a coastal town where everything screamed of the sea, and hunted for treasures cast up by the tide… Until the tide nearly took him instead.

“You want us to pretend to be a couple…in therapy. Just for fun.”
“Yeah!” Jisung nods enthusiastically. "Just until the therapist figures it out.”
Minho gives him a long, slow look that suggests he is currently measuring him for a straitjacket. “So. Two sessions, max.”
It’s supposed to be a joke– two best friends and roommates walk into a therapist’s office, and pretend they’re a couple until the therapist figures it out.
But old feelings die harder than old habits, and when everything they’ve been avoiding for five years finally catches up, Minho and Jisung start to realize they may not be pretending as much as they'd like to believe.
