Harry would like to tell him that his own life is also falling apart, thank you very much, but Malfoy wouldn't understand, and that's not entirely true. He has a place to stay, people who care about him, the prospect of a job. Even if Grimmauld Place suffocates him, the people around him are moving on with their life – leaving him behind, to pick up the pieces of the past alone – and what was once his dream job is losing its appeal day after day.
