After going out, V finally gets a text back from Takemura, but not the one he was expecting. Goro invites him over after they meet up for food, and they do some messing around with how Johnny works as a (usually) intangible being.

Johnny rolls his eyes. “You’re drinking all alone.. Saw you chatting up a young little thing but you pushed her off. Seen you lookin at me.” He pauses and laughs as he turns his head to face V more clearly before continuing, peering down from his aviators, “I think there’s more to it if you ask me. If you’re not careful you’ll be trailing me for the rest of the tour.” He lights a cigarette, taking a long drag before he nods his head in the direction of all the groupies whores. They’re ogling Johnny as he says that. Prick.

Summary
Sequel to Temperance.
Johnny promised V he'd save his life. He's ready to die to make that happen, even if he's not sure how to tell Kerry that. Not now that a year's passed since the day V died and Johnny and Kerry have had this thing between them going on for most of it. Were he drunk enough, Johnny might even call it a relationship.
So, Johnny saves V and keeps his promise, with a little help from V's friends and acquaintances. He just has to learn to live with the consequences.
