"You're gorgeous," Lyney whispers, leaning down so close Kinich can feel his breath, but not close enough for their skin to make contact.
"So you've said many times tonight." It's not quite a scoff, but it's not quite a laugh.
Lyney's eyes flicker down to the dry and chapped lips opposite of his own, which are glossed and lined perfectly as per his sisters help. "You could use some lip gloss." He grins playfully, a hint of tease in his tone.

"Oi!" Sailor brought a hand up to cover his mouth, using the still wet hand to point accusingly at Elise as the boy sprung backwards, landing withing arm reach of Sailor behind him, hastily brushing the front of his clothes over and over again. "What business do ya' think ye have scarrin' thee cap'in?"
Before answering, Elise ripped off his bunny-eared-headband somewhere beside them on the floor, aggressively shaking his hands through his hair. "Aghh!" He continued shaking his head for another second as he yelled, before stopping to look accusingly at Sailor. "What were you doing?! Throwing coloured water at anybody that walked by?"
Sailor's hand dropped to his side, as he stared dumbfound at the reply. A cheeky grin grew on his face as he began to piece the jigsaw puzzle together in his head. "Sea bunny…" He began, "are ya' afraid of wa'er…?"
"No!"

"You told me you loved me." Dan Heng said with his eyes trained his book.
"What!?" Caelus shoots up too fast for his own good. "What did you just say?" He spun around to sit facing Dan Heng, who had now taken his eyes off the page to glare at Caelus for messing up his reading. "Did I do anything else?"
"You kissed me—"
"I did what!?"
"—but that was also partly me aswell."

“I didn’t know one small fight could tucker you out so much!” The person stopped whistling to speak once they got close enough for Kinich to hear.
Kinich slowly opened his eyes. “Who are you?”
The person leaning above him feigned offense. “I just saved your life, and you aren’t even going to say thank you?”
“Thank you,” Kinich sat up, “but you’re acting like we know each other. I’m not sure I’ve ever met you before.” He leaned back on his left hand and used his right to block the light from the setting sun.
“Just because we don’t know each other now doesn’t mean we can’t get to know each other.” The boy – Kinich assumes they’re a boy – above him stands up straight and holds out a hand, inviting Kinich to stand up.
“So then,” Kinich started, dusting off the onesie tied around his waist, “what is your name?”
“Lyney,” The boy bowed, taking off his hat, “and you are…?” He – Lyney, Kinich now knows – questioned as he lifted his head, setting the top-hat back down.
“Right…” Kinich mumbled under his breath.
Or, Aether takes a group of Natlan members to Fontaine for a month and Kinich is forced (willingly decides) to get to know a strange magician during his stay.
