Summary
This is not your typical smut or Dead Dove story. While such elements appear, they are secondary to a narrative centered on transformation, resilience, and redemption-even for someone as seemingly irredeemable as Cazador Szarr. At its heart, this story explores whether even the darkest souls can change when faced with the right opportunities or support.
This is a tale of healing, not just survival, and reclaiming what was lost—or discovering something entirely new.The story dives deep into themes of trauma, power dynamics, and survival against cruelty. Yet, it is also about hope—the fragile but vital belief that even in darkness, change is possible. It follows a journey of reclaiming agency, rebuilding strength, and breaking free from cycles of pain. Both characters, Cazador and Khaless face battles not only against each other but within themselves, challenging their long-held truths and fears.
For those captivated by layered characters like Astarion and Cazador, this story offers complexity and depth, exploring contrasts between light and shadow, strength and vulnerability. Above all, it reminds us that even the most broken can rise—if they dare confront their darkness and seek something greater.

Summary
This chapter serves as the beginning of the tale of Cazador Szarr, pulling back the veil on a time before Vellioth entered his life, before the shadows claimed his soul, and before the man he once was faded into myth. It offers a glimpse of a world not defined by darkness and control, but by fleeting moments of light, humanity, and vulnerability.

Summary

Summary
Astarion, naturally, had already opened the front door by the time she arrived, though he made no move to cross the entry. He’d looped his arm around a whipcord-tense Dalyria, his hand tight around her shoulder as he held her against him. “O beloved, magnanimous master, won’t you please let us in? We’re so very, very hungry,” he purred, eyes glinting as his sister tensed further, her gaze firmly resting somewhere in the vicinity of Tav’s shoes.
Decades after Tav and Astarion have settled in Waterdeep, Dalyria shows up to ruin their domestic bliss.
Post-fic AU of For All the Wrong Reasons. Can be read without having read the preceding fic.

Summary
“Why aren’t you dead?” Astarion growled. “I ascended. I sacrificed you. The runes—”
“Imbecile,” Cazador spat back, the infernal runes carved into his back long since healed now. “You disrupted the ritual. It did not proceed as Mephistopheles instructed, and now—” He stepped forward, his posture grown more relaxed, and Astarion eyed him warily but did not step back. He felt so much stronger now, powerful in ways he could not have imagined, and he found that his instinct to fear his master had, if not disappeared, then faded to an impulse that he could more readily ignore. Cazador raised his hand slowly as he neared Astarion, turning it in the air as though seeing it for the first time, and then slapped Astarion hard across the face.
Both of them hissed and brought a hand to the same cheek to soothe the sting.

One of the gods responded to Astarion's prayers, restoring his ability to walk under the sun. Nevertheless, it came at a price: the revival of Cazador was required in return.

Summary
Before the events of squirming tadpoles connected a group of unlikely strangers into a begrudging partnership to save the world, Astarion roamed the streets of Baldur's Gate as a vampire slave to the Szarr family. His master, Cazador, forced him to seduce and lure thousands of victims to his doorstep, and if that wasn’t slight enough, he saw Astarion as his personal toy of torment and torture.
One hundred and fifty years later, anything that remained of the man before had been snuffed out by the heel of Cazador’s boot. That is until one night, when Astarion, yet again on the hunt for his master, comes across a possible target unlike any he’s met before. A charismatic and handsome drow who is equal parts word-smith, warrior, and wizard. This man’s otherworldly nature seems to see right through Astarion’s elaborately crafted persona, and more than that, he can break the mental hold Cazador has on him and shroud his presence from the vampire lord. The stranger, for whatever reason, is charmed by Astarion and offers him a deal: His protection from Cazador’s control for Astarion’s companionship.
What else can Astarion do but agree?

Summary
This spawn — starved, abused, and whored out by his master had a lifetime of bitterness and resentment pent up inside. His humanity had been stripped, beaten out of him by every reminder that he was owned for eternity. He was a beast but unable to let the beast out and gorge on the blood of the innocent. There had to be anger underneath this veneer of charm, a need for revenge. He would not be a sacrifice for Bhaal tonight — he would be His next acolyte.
Bhaal’s Chosen stalks the night for a victim and finds a vampire spawn looking for the same. As they get acquainted, he finds Astarion too tragic to kill and instead turns his daggers on his master. He sees potential in the abused spawn, however, and takes him under his wing to mould into his perfect killer.
Astarion suddenly finds himself liberated by an even deadlier monster than Cazador. Will this crazed fanatic be his salvation? Or is he merely trading one bondage for another? And everything changes once he catches the attention of the Dead Three…
