Jason Todd died knowing he was loved. His resurrection took even that from him. Turns out he came back to life needing saving just as much as he did when he left it.

Thankfully the Bats and Birds have always specialised in impossible rescues. And while love can't fix everything having proof of it can't hurt.

aka. In a world where the names of those who love you inscribe themselves upon your skin Jason's resurrection plays out a little differently.

    Summary

Dying was natural. If there was anything natural about being beaten to death by a clown with a crowbar and blown up. Coming back to life was less natural, but not unheard of. Jason would personally not recommend having to dig your way out of your grave, but whatever universe-controlling entity that was running this show didn’t seem to care for his opinions.

Dying twice was just a natural consequence of his resurrection. Sure, he’d expected to be kicking around for more than a year or so after his miraculous return, but he supposed accidentally spooking a tiny assassin child and getting stabbed to death was a funny enough way to go. His life was a joke after all.

Now, coming back to life a second time was completely unexpected.

face death in the hope by LullabyKnell

Harry looks vaguely nervous, scratching the back of his neck. “It's a really long story,” he says finally, almost apologetically, “and it's really hard to believe.”

“Try me,” Regulus says, more than a little daringly.

    Summary

Obi-Wan expected to die on the Death Star; he expected to become one with the Force and give guidance to young Luke and all those other pretty things Qui-Gon had said he’d achieve when he died.

As usual, his old Master must have gotten his wires crossed somewhere, because instead of all that he’s here, alive, some 30 years earlier, trying desperately to undo his mistakes – and making quite a few new ones along the way.

Obi-Wan aligns himself with the Sith in order to accomplish his new goals and spends the next ten years both protecting his Jedi brethren and plotting their gentle downfall. When a nearly knighted, cocky young Anakin Skywalker falls into his lap, Obi-Wan finds he isn’t quite ready to let go of his padawan-from-another-lifetime so easily.
