Summary
Multi had learned that nothing good ever came from letting people get too close.
It always started soft and full of promises, only to be set ablaze, burning into his skin and leaving behind something that could never quite heal. So he kept his distance, buried himself in work and chased the idea of the god he saw in the mirror, telling himself he was safe like this.Quackity doesn’t seem to understand that.
Or maybe he does, and decides it isn't enough to make him leave.Bookmarked by Versoll

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
“Love, (Y/n)? You don’t mean that…?” His voice trails off and you see the gears in the mechanism of his mind turn as he realizes what you mean. His heart thumps harder in his chest, betraying his feigned ignorance.
You keep your hand there and without thinking it through, you take his right hand and place it over your chest, where your heart pounds beneath. “What does this tell you?”
“It don’t mean nothing.” His voice is lower and only loud enough for you to hear.
You hold his hand tightly as it remains over your heart. “Then why don’t you take a gamble that it does?”
——
You’ve been living out in the woods alone for some time. Breaking off attachments long ago in order to live on the straight and narrow, the only companion that you have near is your horse and a wild fox that keeps itself at distance.Coming back home from a hunting trip, you are faced with a storm such as one has never been, which would still be nothing out of the ordinary.
But a dim light can be seen from your cabin window, and the front door is ajar.
Brandishing your knife, you ready yourself for your home invader, but you aren’t prepared for how the encounter will change the course of your life forever.

Summary
“Ive never felt so brave and so scared in all my life,” you sigh. Your brow misted in sweat and your face wet with tears, you hold the little creature you’ve waited months to meet. Your body trembles as the shock wears off, but you can’t stop smiling.
Arthur pulls back on the blanket just a little, to get a better look. His touch is gentle, as though he could easily hurt the baby with just one glance.
You see his eyes as they stare in awe. There is a hidden sadness behind them, a nervous feeling as though he is betraying a memory.
You speak softly. “Arthur, loving this child will never replace the love for the one you lost.”
His eyes slowly look up to meet yours. He sees what you’ve accomplished, what he didn’t get to see the first time. It’s an appreciation for who you are and what you’ve given him.
A second chance.
