Summary
“My lord is displeased with you,” the Corinthian says at last, oddly formal. “He wanted me to come, to demonstrate to you how little you understand him.”
Dream sends the Corinthian to keep an eye on Hob Gadling, and the two strike up a friendship over the centuries. After Hob’s meeting with Dream in 1889 goes south, Dream decides to use the Corinthian to teach him a lesson.
