Summary
It has been years since David was in his home town of Asherton, only moving back recently for his father's funeral. However, he ends up reconnecting with the girl who he held a psychosexual obsession with since high school, now a married woman with a 13-year-old son, Ben, that looks uncannily like her in her prime. David’s curiosity becomes fixation, as he sets out to make the teenage boy his new lover and experience the relationship he never got to have in high school.
This will be a very 'psycho-sexual' story by nature, getting a lot into power dynamics, rape conditioning, grooming, lots of Freudian-adjacent stuff, stalking, and obsession.
The story is not an endorsement of behaviour. It is meant to be a fucked up, cathartic story of sexual objectification and obsession. The protagonist has been deliberately written to be subtly misogynistic and disrespectful in how he treats others, constantly judging them based on their appearance and/or fantasising about using them sexually.
