Summary
Carefully, Wilson places the cigar back in the box and closes the lid slowly, using both hands. The meticulousness makes House’s blood boil.
“It wasn’t supposed to be like that.” House rolls his eyes at Wilson’s righteousness, but Wilson ignores him. “It just … slipped out.” He walks over to where House is still standing in front of the couch and holds out the box.
House doesn’t take it. “It’s not like you to slip up. One time I can excuse, but three …”
Wilson places the box on his desk, carefully aligning it with its edge. Then he sits back down on the couch. “I liked the way you reacted the first time I did it.”
