Summary
Having failed to keep her heart to herself in her past life, Nicole is now offered a second chance at living. This time, instead of a mage, she wakes up as queen. Unfortunately, even in this second life, she can't seem to escape her messy doom, General Varka. Unsure whether Nicole was still an angel, she is careful about giving her heart away again in a hurry, which- much to her dismay- was easier said than done. The idiotic and absolutely stressed out General manages to enchant her again within moments, making Nicole wary of him as she doesn't want to die a painful death again. Little did she know that Varka was just as much gone for her, tripping over his own feet just to catch a glimpse of his queen. Jumping from one disaster to the next, the two grow closer.
Will Nicole be able to love freely this time, or will the heavenly principles find her and hunt her down again for neglecting her duties as an angel?

Notes: this storyline begins long before the official meeting between Varka and Nicole in the latest Archon Quest. At this point, Varka does not yet know Nicole—he has only heard of her in passing as a member of the Hexenzirkel, known as the mage 'N'.
