Summary
Lord Palpatine grants Commander Fox a boon for his heroics in saving Coruscant and the other cities of the mountain. There are very few ways for Fox to acceptably use it; it's an empty promise and a high honour.
Yet there are precedents, if one cares - or is dragged into the archives by a well-meaning brother - to research them. So it is that Fox finds himself offering the lady Chuchi a marriage of convenience. She has become a political liability to Lord Palpatine's court, and is to be sent away to a genteel and underground exile.
He is, of course, acting on motives of purest chivalry. The lady Chuchi is not.

Summary
The Lady Riyo Chuchi is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

But even he had to admit he couldn’t run the damn thing alone. The only man he would want to work with had already settled into retirement. Still, necessity outweighed pride, so he posted a call for a deckhand.
Only one soul answered.
Herman, tall, trembling, wide-eyed Herman, showed up looking like he might bolt if someone sneezed too loudly. But he was willing, he was young, and more importantly… he was the only applicant.
So, by the simple law of desperation, the job was his. Robert didn’t mention how his father used to say the sea knew their family by name. Or how something out there had been circling the boat since the day the old man died.

Now backed into a corner, Flambae needs a last-minute stand-in. Someone calm. Normal and unassuming. Someone who isn’t a walking red flag. Which is how he ends up roping the newly minted, normie dispatcher into being his pretend boyfriend for the evening— because admitting he got dumped doesn’t exactly scream I’ve got my life together.

He knew what she was talking about, but he wasn’t about to take pity on her like that. If she wanted to ask that question, which was none of her fucking business, she needed to actually say it. ”Let me what?”
Courtney huffed, but expanded on her question. “Reciprocate? Do anything beneath the belt?”
