Summary
Pete has always been good at two things: being useful, and being unnoticed.
He notices Rome on the first day of production. The smile that arrives before the rest of him does. The way a room reorganizes itself around him without Rome ever asking it to. Pete notices all of it, catalogues it, files it somewhere inside himself under things I shouldn't want.
Then Raffy walks in. And Rome looks at Raffy the way he's never once looked at Pete.
