Summary
Langdon starts thinking of Mel like the sun, not only because she’s bright, but because everything else feels colder without her. The hospital is still the hospital. Loud and relentless, but when she’s there, the night becomes something he can get through. Somewhere along the way, she turns into the only person he actually wants to see.
OR Langdon comes back after his ten month hiatus and immediately gets put on night shift with Mel because of a shortage AND Mel gets boba.

Summary
Mel King was really, really good at being alone. She had Becca and they were really good at being alone, together. While writing a research paper on how to better accommodate neurodivergent patients, and with Becca spending more time away from their shared apartment, Mel realizes it might actually be nice to have some friends, if only to have someone read over her work.

Summary
"So are you a Survivor superfan?" He asks—be normal Frank, be normal—walking toward some rocks at the far end of the beach.
"Huge," Mel says with a wide smile. "What about you?"
"Me, not really," Frank admits. "I watched a few seasons here and there," —one season, if he's honest— "and I auditioned just for fun," —he hadn't even known that Theo had sent in that stupid video— "and now here I am."
"Here you are," Mel echoes and Frank finds himself a little lost in the melody of her voice. It's lower than maybe he would expect, but the flow of it is an easy rhythm, a pleasing melody.
Entrancing.
"Here we are." Finds it necessary to add on, and the smile that blooms on Mel's face tells him he's said the right thing.
Fuck.
Or, the Survivor AU.

“—and I know that there’s Becca and Tanner and Millie to consider, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to move in? Together? With me?”
Mel blinks. He certainly doesn’t look like he’s having a stroke.
“Frank, why would we move in together?”
“I thought it might be nice,” he shrugs here, acting nonchalant even though Mel can see the tension in his jaw. “To take that next step in our relationship.”
“Frank, what are you talking about? We’re not in a relationship?”
At this, Frank’s frown deepens before widening into a frustrated half smile. “Uh, yes we are? We’ve been dating for nine months?”
What.
Or, Frank thinks Mel doesn’t do physical touch.

Summary
And then Santos says — because of course she does, of course they would, of course it’s her fault — “And Langdon would be awful in bed, of course.” Mel blinks.
She somehow hadn’t expected them to get to Langdon, although she acknowledges it’s quite ridiculous of her to not have seen it coming considering the list of male coworkers they were rapidly striking. It’s just — well, Langdon isn’t exactly just a coworker to her, but also a friend. Someone she sends medical memes to and facetimes and watches bad movies on her couch to decompress, someone who pays for her coffee when she’s not looking and talks her down from the egde of a spiral and has met Becca. He’s — He’s Frank to her, and it’s weird to— talk about him that way. Extremely inappropriate, beyond what HR demands.
Still, Mel thinks she should defend his honor, and notes, “I think you might be letting your biases influence your judgment.”
or mel can't stop thinking about how frank's like in bed, and decides she should really just ask him
