Summary
“I’m serious, Eddie, I’m gonna look it up once I have reception again,” Buck says. He’s like a dog with a bone once he sinks his teeth into something he wants to Google.
Or: 5 times Buck learns a random fact, and 1 time Eddie does

Summary
He lets his eyes scan over to this Buckley guy and they catch on the LAFD t-shirt. Interesting. He’s lean but pretty built, not surprising for a firefighter, and tall, all leg. Together, it’s giving the impression of a Ken doll, but somehow less punchable than Eddie would expect.
He doesn’t look like the kind of guy who’d have no one to pick him up at the hospital. Then again, neither does Eddie, probably. And it’s not like he has no one. So Buckley’s probably got his own list, and his own reasons he can’t call anyone on it. Eddie’s got one thing he doesn’t, though: a really fucking stupid idea.
Or: Eddie meets Buck in the ER and takes him home

Summary
As much as he’s tried to shut it down, Buck can’t deny that Tommy had cracked the seal on a certain question. One that Buck hasn’t stopped thinking about ever since.
And no, let the record show that it is not whether he’s in love with Eddie, even if everyone seems to be dying for that to be the case. That’s a patently ridiculous suggestion that holds absolutely no water, and has not a single shred of evidence to back it up. It’s not worth thinking about for even a second. No matter what everyone says.
No, the question at hand is obvious. Could Eddie, possibly, maybe, conceivably not be straight?
Or: Buck looks for one answer and finds another

Summary
He’d not expected Shannon to be the kind of girlfriend that hangs out on the bleachers watching practice, but she’s been coming more and more often lately. To be fair, she’s not really watching, just reading her book most of the time, but it’s still nice. He’d never ask her to show up, the way he knows some of the guys do with their girlfriends, but there’s something about knowing that she does anyway, just for him, that makes his heart ache a little. He doesn’t really get that from anyone else in his life. Then again, neither does she, and maybe that’s why she does it — she knows what it means.
Jordan smacks him across the ass with his glove — no homo if only the leather touches, or whatever — on his way out of the dugout and makes his way over to shortstop, effectively knocking Eddie out of his thoughts.

Summary
Eddie’s phone starts blowing up while he’s still in the middle of calculating the tip. By the time he’s signing on the line, he’s afraid it’s going to vibrate off the bar. He taps the screen and the latest preview, a text from Buck, just reads, *BOOT. Doesn’t bode well.

Summary
I slept with Buck, he imagines saying out loud. To Bobby, probably. Bobby gives good advice, always listens carefully, like it matters. Doesn't judge, at least not out loud.
Gave. Bobby gave good advice. Bobby is never going to look at Eddie across the big table at the station loft with a faintly amused expression on his face while he tells Eddie something that Eddie deep down already knew.
I slept with Buck. I don't know what to do.
Bobby would raise his eyebrows and say, Well, maybe you should talk to him.

Summary
Eddie snaps the picture, and sends it to Buck without thought.
New neighbour stopped by to welcome me
Eddie had been drinking his coffee, sitting outside on his back porch, trying not to get overwhelmed at all the shit he still had to do at his new place. The bird, a sweet little thing with a yellow face, was a nice distraction, flitting around, probably looking for food through the overgrown garden. It doesn’t take more than three minutes before his phone buzzes with Buck’s response.
think thats a verdin!!! so cool!!

Summary
“I don’t know if I can get it up,” Buck says, voice hoarse, because it’s only right to be up front with that, though he doesn’t think Eddie will mind, not when they’re wearing twin expressions shadowed with grief still.
“Don’t care, really,” Eddie says, looking weary, coming over, and Buck scoots back so his head lands on his pillow and he can open his arms when Eddie crawls in close, their noses bumping, breathing each other’s air.
