Two years into Ryland Grace's trip to Erid, and the scientist was starting to take a turn for the worse. Passing by a random transmission, the Hail Mary was slowly starting to die. The Nanny-Bot was fucked, he was missing a fuel tank, and the communications was driving him insane.
It surprises him when he hears what sound like a humans voice- English no less.

Summary
Iron Lung crossover with Project Hail Mary because I discovered this and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I've never had such a strong urge to write fan-fiction. I've only watched these movies, but soon I'll be reading Project Hail Mary. My science may also be... bad, but I promise I'll try to make it as good as I can manage.
This is set after Simon (The Convict) mutates and he survives (obviously because otherwise how would Simon and Grace meet). Grace and Rocky are on their way to Erid after Grace goes to save Rocky from the Xenonite-adapted Taumoeba, and they enter a dead zone on their journey. No stars, no light, and uneasiness fills them as they realize that some stars had already been consumed. They detect a strange moon, static-y distress signals transmitting from a ship on this moon. They encounter a terrible scene upon connecting with the ship, and Grace finds something unexpected.Bookmarked by Woodetly

Summary
Everyone is born in Sin.
The first doctrine is Penance. Father used to say that suffering is the only way to earn your existence, and that the darkness will always demand its due.
The second doctrine is Repentance. Back then, it meant weeping for your flaws and obeying who knew better than you. Being here, I am learning that it can also mean accepting you are allowed to survive.
The final doctrine, Salvation. On Eden, it was something given only to the dead. It took me a long time to see the truth, that salvation isn't a gift. It's something you have to build for yourself.
