Summary
San felt insane.
“That’s not how it works for humans,” he tried to explain. “Marriage is different. You don’t just meet someone in a park and decide to go home with them.”
Wooyoung just kept patting his hand, maybe a bit condescendingly now, as if it was on him to educate San on the big big world but he did not mind. “That’s why I’m saying mate not marriage. It’s okay you can get confused because it sounds similar. I did too at the beginning.”
San was not mated. Married. Whatever. He couldn’t be. His mother would kill him.
Or:
One day San is a stressed-out businessman, tired and devoid of joy in life, the next he runs into a floating flower and a dangerously endearing cat hybrid claims to be his mate. San really tries to get rid of him. Just not very hard.

Summary
“Woo.” San says, warning. Wooyoung hums in response and instead starts nibbling at the skin, tongue pressing against that one sensitive spot that has San’s breath hitching. His teeth scrape against it and San’s hands falter on the keyboard. “Young-ah.” San breathes.
“Yeah, Sannie?” Wooyoung asks, words vibrating against his skin. He can’t hear the words Wooyoung speaks, thanks to his headphones, but he can make out the shape of the words on his throat. San swallows thickly. Wooyoung’s hands come to slide beneath the hem of his shirt.
OR
San's just trying to pass Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss but Wooyoung has other plans.

Summary
Wooyoung connects the dots, his eyes making sense of the shapes in the darkness. There’s a boy huddled in the alleyway, curled as tight as he can get against a garbage can, his red rimmed eyes never leaving Wooyoung as he cowers. Wooyoung takes inventory of the pointed ears standing tall on his head, the long tail that swishes through the puddles on the concrete in warning, the midnight fur covering it and his ears that matches the hair dripping over his forehead. He’s a hybrid, and he’s soaking wet, trembling. Wooyoung turns and scans the street, but there’s not a soul in sight, just deserted sidewalks and pouring rain. He turns back to the hybrid.
“Are you okay?” His voice is drowned out by the storm, but the boy’s ear twitches regardless.
Only silence, green eyes, the sky crackling in white light, endless rain.

Summary
Sparks.
Yellow light.
Sizzling.
And yet, all those amazing things could not distract San’s attention from the boy he loved most.
“You’re pretty”, Wooyoung whispered into the night, tugging slightly at their intertwined hands.
“Not as pretty as you, Woo.”
San and Wooyoung decided to spend the Christmas afternoon together. They take a walk on a snowy path in the nearest forest leading to a night they would never forget. (It's just wholesome and they are idiots.)
