Summary
Shufen is pack alpha to one of the most prestigious bridging packs in the country. Bridging packs are crucial to contemporary society as young alphas, betas and omegas are sent off to learn the correct behavior and social skills before starting or joining a pack of their own. Shufen has overseen the training of many pups over the decades, sometimes taking on those from powerful families or those assigned by the state who need a place to recover from trauma. Shufen had seen it all. Now a new omega has been assigned to his pack. He soon realizes that the pup needs his pack more than anyone first thought. Summary
Rather than being born with it, when you find your soulmate, usually after sleeping with them, matching soulmate marks appear. Sometimes it’s sudden, almost instant. Sometimes, it takes weeks and weeks.
Omega Dean and Alpha Castiel meet in a small town bar. They’re both looking to blow off some steam. It’s pretty low risk. Omegas only get pregnant with their soulmate. They exchange names, but each of them gives the other a fake name.
Dean has a wonderful night with Castiel, but knows he can never have a life with the handsome Alpha. What quality Alpha would want a worthless Omega drifter like him? He slinks off without a word while Castiel is asleep, not leaving any clue that “Sam Harrison” didn’t really exist.
Castiel, for his part, hadn’t been expecting anything but a night of pleasure. He’s been licking his wounded heart for years after a terrible divorce. By the time the soulmate mark appears, weeks and weeks later, he realized he should never have told the beautiful Omega that his name was Jimmy Novak, not Castiel Shurley.

Summary

They hit it off, so they chat and get to know each other for a while. After they exchange numbers, Dean realizes he’s falling for the guy. It's inevitable that they start to think about meeting in real life...
