What if Hermione became bad, and Draco became good?
What if Hermione became a vigilante, acting outside the law to make the Wizarding World a better place, while Draco became the Auror tasked with bringing her in?
Harry dies in the final battle, and the Ministry works overtime to convince the public that Voldemort is truly gone. Hermione and Ron are the only ones who know the truth—that Harry is dead, and they missed a Horcrux. Left to lead what remains of the Order, Hermione and Ron watch wealthy and well-connected Death Eaters walk free with little more than a slap on the wrist. Hermione takes that personally—and our moral queen decides to start hunting them down herself.
Hermione becomes a wanted criminal, searching for the last Horcrux and uncovering Death Eater plots the Ministry would rather ignore, and Draco is tasked with finding her and bringing her in.
This is a painful slow burn, and the plot gets DARK.

Hermione only wanted one reckless night with the snakes, just enough to burn off the tension she'd built up spying on them for the Order, to feel something other than fear for a few stolen hours. They weren't supposed to be this tempting. Not this dangerous, this magnetic, this impossible to look away from.
She was meant to gather intel and disappear into the shadows, unseen and untouched, the way she always did.
But they saw her.
And the months that followed would carve itself into her, etched so deep she'd spend the next four years trying, and failing, to forget it.

Hermione wakes up in a dark cell and knows three things: the war is over and Voldemort won, severeal of her fingers and toes had to be sewn on again and she got beaten up pretty badly.
Hermione needs to navigate in a world that feels so unfamiliar, she barely recognizes wizarding britain anymore. In the eye of the evil, all alone without knowing if her friends are even alive, she needs to find a way out. Needs to escape Voldemort and his plan, to use her as a surrogate for his heir. On this escape she finds unexpected friendships and allies.
Or, Draco Malfoy has been in love with Hermione since before the war and desperately tries to save her by taking every risk there possibly is, while being Voldemorts highest ranking general.
