Now they keep colliding in doorways and bars, on sandbars and sidewalks, caught between who they were and who they’re terrified to be. Izuku is done drowning. Bakugou is done pretending the tide isn’t his fault.

    This is about the love you survive, the apologies that come too late, and the kind of forgiveness that feels like standing in the break and choosing to stay.

    The touch was static, even though it was the softest thing. They both sharply inhaled, lightning on their lips, but it got swallowed by the roaring applause. Neither Scaramouche nor Sethos joined the crowd, keeping their fingers linked.
