“I’ve been— dreaming,” Viktor says, and without the mask, his voice sounds heavy, not carrying the same monotone expression as his face. Jayce clenches his fists. “Every night, the same dream. And every morning, the same—” A heavy breath, a slight tremble of his hand on his thigh, metal against metal “—nightmare.”
Jayce swallows hard. Viktor didn’t tell him any details, not even the subject of his dreams, and yet, Jayce knows. Because he’s had the same dreams. Over and over again.

Summary
Screams, shouts and gunfire were abruptly heard again, coming from behind the entrance the rest of their team were guarding while waiting for Jayce’s and Vi’s orders. The councilor turned back to face it, tightening his hands on the Mercury Hammer. Then another explosion shook the ground, dust clouds pushed out of the walls from the force of the blast outside, and Vi paled.
“What did you do?”
Jinx’s laugh had tapered off, but her manic grin remained.
“Oh, I didn’t do anything this time!”
Then, a tall, dark and menacing shadow strode forward, two pinpricks of harsh golden orange glowing through the thick smoke. Jinx’s grin grew wider.
“It’s all him!”
