"Xiao Xingchen continued staring forwards, his lips drawn into a stoic, thin, straight line. It was a stark contrast to Xue Yang’s manic eyes, his face contorting into a sneer as he cackled.
'Fine, Daozhang. Fine! Perhaps Daozhang simply isn’t in the mood for dinner tonight. Dinner is boring anyway, isn’t it? Let’s just skip straight to dessert.'
There was a small glass jar on the table, one that Xue Yang had placed there hours earlier in hopes of sharing its contents with the man in front of him. He reached for it now, unable to wipe the smirk from his face.
'Have you ever had honey, Daozhang?'"

Summary
Wei Ying is a 9 year old orphan in the streets of some town in ancient China. One day, he hears a terrifying scream and runs to see what’s happening. He finds a child smaller than him lying in a pool of his own blood on the sidewalk. He decides to help that child, as no one seems to care. Wei Ying bandages the child’s gruesome injury on his left hand and takes care of him in the dark alley he lives in, but the child almost dies of infection. Fortunately, he makes it, although his left pinky is gone.
Then a major adventure starts. The kid is 7 years old and his name is Xue Yang, and he has an absolutely terrible personality, even worse than Wei Ying’s. These two boys will now fight for their survival, acquire impressive powers, live a wild love story and defy and break all the taboos of their society.
Absolutely nothing will stop them from becoming ungovernable! -

Summary
Song Lan curls his fingers into fists, bites the inside of his cheek to keep from making noise.
"Keep going," Xiao Xingchen says, planting soft, wet kisses to the top of Song Lan's spine, the spot below his ear.
Xiao Xingchen's fingers press into him, rubbing and spreading him apart. The lack of resistance and Xue Yang's bruises prove Song Lan's suspicion that they've been carrying on for a while.
The thought charges into him at full speed.
