Beomgyu shifts his weight, fingers tightening around his keys. "...Do you live here?" He asks, then internally backtracks. What a stupid question. He knows who lives here.
The guy's demeanor breaks momentarily. "Uh, no," he says in a soft voice, straightening to look up at Beomgyu, his business casual suit that's too askew after his long subway ride. "I'm— I'm waiting for my boyfriend." The guy has dimples that show at the slightest twitch of his lips.
or: Beomgyu dislikes his neighbour. It gets much more complicated than that when he starts running into the guy's supposed boyfriend, Choi Soobin.

“Maybe it is you who will kill me”, Soobin can’t help but whisper. “Just like him”.
Yeonjun lifts his eyes, meeting Soobin’s. The desire in his stare is animalistic, unmistakable, but he merely gives Soobin a sly smile.
“Why would I?” he strokes Soobin’s cheek, smudging the blood there and taking a second to admire. His fingertips are cold but his gaze is anything but and Soobin feels feverish all over. “When we have so much fun together. Don’t we? Did you like my little show?”

Summary
It only makes sense that it feels real, especially when they’re separated in complete darkness on a night meant to celebrate their togetherness.
But it’s not real. None of it is.
There’s a rustle of dried leaves somewhere nearby, and Beomgyu whips his head in the direction of the sound. A footstep? It’s so dark. Too dark to see much of anything, but he feels it. Like a weight on his skin, almost negligible in its presence, but heavy enough to leave him uneasy and littered in goosebumps.
He feels like he’s being watched.
(or, Beomgyu doesn't scare easily. Soobin begs to differ.)
