Summary
Months had passed since the passing of Juan. The grief never lessened, but Foolish, and Tina, had to learn how to adapt. With both Vegetta and Juan gone, it was up to Foolish to oversee the North. To say he was in over his head was an understatement.
Miles away, was a white building-the federation. Laying inside a blank room was none other than Juan. He, and the person sharing the jail he found himself in, make a pact to get out. Juan promises to see Foolish again. His new friend promises to see her dad again. However, the federation was still a threat, and from the inside-locked up-there was little one could do.

Juan finds himself stuck in the federation prison and works to escape with his new friend and get back to his soulmate- I mean Foolish. Yearning and angst (and a happy ending!) ensue.

“One person of interest shall be obtained from The North and assimilated into The Regime’s possession through a….” Vegetta sounds out of breath, as if not expecting something like this to truly happen. “…Marriage union.”
Gasps filter throughout the table.
“Who is your person of interest?” Vegetta sighs. “We must prepare a grand wedding for such a momentous occasion.”
Ash stares openly at the people around the table. His eyes scan past everyone, pausing only on Aldo, before moving to the person sitting beside him; their second in command plus-plus. His gaze stays there. By the time Ash speaks, the whole house already expects his answer:
“Juan.”
“Absolutely not!”

Juan has finally been released and hides his trauma behind work and armor. What better way to get over it than being thrown back out into the world and going on a fun camping trip with Foolish, the best camp scoutmaster there is!
Fresh air, quality time, and absolutely nothing lurking in the trees.

Foolish smiles. “She’s asleep.”
Juan sighs like that alone is a personal failure of the universe.
The silence stretches.
Foolish watches him properly now—really watches. The way Juan rubs at his eyes. The way he keeps forgetting to hold himself upright. The way he looks, not just tired, but hollowed out.
It’s strange how many small things there are to notice about a person once you start looking too closely.
