Summary
The room moves around him, nurses in and out to check on his progress and remove his IV. A new doctor comes in with discharge papers, instructions about PT that Hollander studiously writes down. Ilya lets himself be moved and nods when it seems appropriate. But he hears none of it. The blood rushes through his ears and one word echoes in his chest over and over again. Husband.
In 2025, Ilya suffers a hit on the ice and wakes up in the hospital. Shane Hollander is there, holding his hand. But the last thing Ilya remembers is a tuna melt (aaaaaaand Rose Landry).

OR: When a college dean’s homophobic comments threaten to cost Northlake University its main sponsors (and therefore its entire hockey program), campus golden boys Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are asked to fake-date for damage control.
Shane thinks the plan is absurd. Ilya thinks it’s hilarious. Unfortunately, both of them care too much about hockey to say no.
Now they just have to survive staged dates, invasive campus gossip, suspicious teammates, and pretending to be disgustingly in love for a few months.
Which would all be a lot easier if they weren’t starting to enjoy it a little too much…

A rough emergency landing of the Ottawa Centaurs' plane in Tampa, Florida makes national headlines.
With Ilya's phone lost in the chaos, Shane has no way of finding out if Ilya is injured - or how injured. So he makes his way to Tampa.
Or: The plane crash/incident in the long game but a rougher landing, more injuries (no significant/long-lasting harm), and Shane running to Tampa to see Ilya.
Story and Chapter titles are lyrics of the song 'Sleepwalking' by All Time Low that gave me the inspiration for this fic!
First half of the story will be Angsty hurt/comfort, second half will be the comfort part of hurt/comfort with a dose of crack.

Summary
Shane Hollander doesn’t do love at first sight.
Shane does logistics. Reason. Planning. He thinks everything over at least twice, before making a decision. That’s just how he is wired.
So when he sees a head of golden curls and a blinding smile for the first time and he feels his stomach do a flip, he’s not prepared. In the slightest.

Shane is a university student and volunteers at a kids' ice hockey summer camp every summer. This summer is different, because there's a new volunteer and his name is Ilya Rozanov.
