Henry closes his eyes, chin quivering in the wake of new tears, grateful and pained, and even all these years later, still quietly in love.

“I,” he tries, and his whole body aches to have this person hold him, but his mind is screaming, crying, unable to understand why it feels that way. And he tells him the truth. “I don’t know who you are. I’m sorry.”
Silence envelopes the whole room. It’s almost suffocating, and he feels like crying again.
“It’s. It’s me,” the person says, and Seungsik watches the smile he had put there, the joy in his eyes from seeing him awake fade and is replaced with silent panic. “It’s Seungwoo. I’m Seungwoo.”
He says it like a begged prayer, and Seungsik feels like apologizing again when no sort of recognition, realization wakes his fogged up mind. “I’m sorry. I really can’t remember.”
(Seungsik wakes, and doesn’t remember very many things. Certainly doesn’t remember the beautiful man sitting next to his bed. His husband.)

Sehun tilts his head, and his expression becomes even more sly, eyes dark with intent and his smile mysterious, “Do you want the abridged version, or do you have time for the details?”
“Well, if I’m going to consider this seriously, I think the details would matter,” Minseok replies.
Sehun grins, and tells him, “I’m a little lonely, haven’t had sex in almost a year because of work, and there’s too much money in my bank account that I won’t use. I just want something simple, really.”
“Well. I could relate to at least two of those things you just said,” Minseok tells him. He sighs, thinks wistfully, before saying, “Working on the bank account thing.”
(Minseok is a brilliant musicologist in need of money to take his doctorate abroad. Sehun is an executive in a fashion company with too much money. Naturally, they find what they need, in each other.)

He cannot help the tears that fall from his eyes as he looks down at his partner, his soulmate. Minseok, he was supposed to be untouchable. Always seemed so above it all to Junmyeon, wonderful and otherworldly despite his humility, so ethereally beautiful and talented and everything Junmyeon holds dear.
This was never supposed to happen to him. He never got hurt or injured, never seemed to be sick either. Minseok didn’t get hurt, but Junmyeon is reminded all too viscerally that Minseok is just as human as everyone else, just as human as he is.

Chanyeol blinks, his mouth wobbling slightly as he searches Minseok’s gaze. Minseok keeps his guards up, but softens a little, breathing deeply when Chanyeol brings his hand up, lightly touching his fingers. Minseok doesn’t move his hand away.
“For you. Okay,” he says, voice quiet.
