The baron stepped back. "Ender," Burney paused for a moment, taking in Ender's appearance—despite all his clear imperfections, Burney still thought he was the most exquisite being to ever grace this planet. People would say he was exaggerating whenever he described Ender, but years of personal exchanges between them left him yearning for the prince. "You asked to meet me here?"
Ender gave a simple and quick nod at his way. He stepped closer toward Burney—the distance was almost suffocating. "Yes, I told you to visit…" His lips began to curl upward, forming a slight smile. "Burney, you are my stalwart, and I'm sure you're well aware of that by now." He moved back, giving the baron a moment to process what he was hinting at.

No matter what he does, he dies in the end. And he's back at the start. And he has no way of breaking the cycle.
