Kiyoomi’s hands were still covered in flour when his phone started to vibrate on the counter.
He’d just put the muffins into the oven, Hana waking up and beginning to fuss in her baby carrier against his chest. The twins were trying to lick out the mixing bowl, despite Kiyoomi telling them not to and that the raw egg would make them sick. Not to mention he had to go pick up Akito from school in an hour, so time was of the essence.
His phone was buzzing with notifications, tags, and comments from social media.

I always knew Atsumu was bad news.
Alphas like him disgust me.
Kiyoomi dropped the mixing bowl into the sink. He opened the article they had linked, and the loud clatter woke Hana up completely. She began to scream.

The couple's expressions slowly shifted from unbridled joy to something more complex. Cyno's face settled into a look of embarrassment, while Tighnari's was etched with clear worry. Kaveh found their change in demeanor deeply unsettling.
A silent exchange passed between his friends, entire paragraphs conveyed in a glance, before Tighnari finally broke the silence: "Kaveh, please, don't misunderstand. You asked us to act as if he didn't exist, so we never brought it up, but... you do know that Alhaitham never left the Akademiya, right?"
"...What?"
"More than that," Cyno continued, his tone uncharacteristically concerned, "you do know he's the current Rector, don't you?"
Six years after the divorce, Kaveh returns to Sumeru City, only to find his routine repeatedly disrupted by his ex-husband. With every encounter, it becomes harder to ignore the ten years of history they share — until the past stops feeling like something they can simply leave behind and begins to look more like something they might dare to try again.

Summary
Debates become arguments. Arguments become fights. Fights become something more when Kaveh goes overboard in his vices the longer he lives with Alhaitham. Soon, the Scribe's peace becomes far too interrupted for him to ignore the problem, making it his own to solve despite Kaveh's deliberate resistance.
Of course, far be it for him to realize he may have been the problem all along. And luckily, or perhaps unluckily, the rejection Kaveh expects only spites Alhaitham to prove him wrong further.

atsumu fell asleep during sex.
it’s not a big deal. sakusa doesn’t take it personally; it would be easy to, but he’s confident in himself and their relationship, understands that after the string of shifts atsumu’s had, he’s absolutely exhausted. he’s so tired that it doesn’t matter that they haven’t seen each other in almost a week; he’s literally saving lives at work (children’s lives, as atsumu would be sure to specify) and it’s extremely taxing, both mentally and physically.
