You have heard of the rabbit in the moon, perhaps, with his selfless kindness and his reckless goodwill. But this is the story of a boy who was consumed by flames, and there is more desperation in this tale than kindness. Of atmospheric ghost lights, or onibi, and bellflowers, and moonlight—or, alternatively, how Todoroki Touya became the boy in the moon.

Kageyama doesn’t answer immediately, and when Natsuo turns back to look at him, the expression on the high schooler’s face is so deeply contemplative that he braces himself for whatever can of worms he’s opened and wonders if he should regret asking.
“Daily,” Kageyama finally says.
Natsuo decides that it would be rude to laugh. Especially since the kid looks dead serious.
Natsuo is on his way home from college. Kageyama is on his way home from youth camp. Awkwardness ensues.

Whatever. He’s clearly got a life of torment ahead of him, so he can be the bigger person and rise above this. The pair of them better buckle up and listen good.
“I ain’t sure what the hell you think happened, but this is how I met your brother…”
Todoroki Shouto meanders into the centre of Bakugou's universe of a dreary day in September. He fucks it up - quite spectacularly.

But what if morning never comes? If there is only night, moonlight and starlight and nothing like the brilliant blaze of the sun—if there is no day, is the night really tranquil and poetic?
Bakugou Katsuki doesn’t think so—because there is no day, and there are people dying from it.

Honestly, the way Todoroki is so objectively attractive and also objectively a total disaster is whiplash of the highest degree. This is the most chaotic paradox to ever exist.
“Is there a problem?” Todoroki asks so casually it is staggering.
He speaks like for some reason Bakugou is the one in the room losing his grip on sanity here, like this is normal. Okay. Fine. If nobody else will say it then Bakugou will have to be the one to shut this down right now.
“Yeah,” he gestures to the absolute abomination in Todoroki’s hands. “That ain’t an instrument.”
Todoroki quirks a brow. From this distance Bakugou can’t prove shit but it sure looks as if the fucker thinks this is funny.
“Are you sure?”
Strange - that sounds more like a challenge than a question. Fine. If Todoroki wants to do this, they can do this. Grinning, Bakugou leans forwards on the stool. In every possible way, he will enjoy this.
It’s on, bitch.
Todoroki opens the violin case. What comes out is not a violin.
