Summary
Bobby’s finished up with Julien, telling him about fire prevention measures and giving him tips for what to tell his landlord, but Julien’s eyes keep flickering towards Buck. The heat in his gut goes cold when he feels Eddie nudging him.
“Am I about to see the infamous Buck 1.0 in action?”
He knows Eddie’s kidding but something like anger or shame flares in Buck’s eyes. Eddie didn’t know that Buck—didn’t know what shit he was thinking about himself then. This is different, this is healthy, it’s good. What it is, is a real shot to get over Eddie.
or, in the realization that Buck loves Eddie, he falls into a less than stellar relationship as he tries to cope with his feelings.

Summary
Evan Buckley grew up with one understanding; he wasn’t of value unless he was hurt. That belief fueled all his actions, and turned him into the reckless firefighter he is today. But it had also been festering into something more, turning into this ugly monster deep inside him.
When that belief system begins to feed Bucks low self esteem, and lead to mental health issues he is not equipped to deal with, he doesn’t know what to do. But he’s definitely not going to tell anyone.
He can’t be another thing for people to worry about.
But the team begins to suspect anyways, despite how hard he tried to keep them away. And Buck has no clue how to handle it when they begin to break down the walls he worked so hard to put up.

Summary
After Maddie's revelation in 4x04 Buck starts to come undone.
He really shouldn’t have been surprised. The Buckley family was built on secrets, Buck had always known that. All the things Maddie and Buck had hidden from their parents as children for fear of punishment. All the things that happened after Maddie left college and were kept from her because they would be too upsetting or distracting. All the things that happened behind closed doors in the Kendall house. This had clearly just set the precedent.
