Pierre goes back to the list, crossing off more and more names until there are just four. He frowns to himself. Four didn’t feel like enough but it was plenty at the same time. The names were all of the drivers he felt potentially comfortable sharing this side of himself with, sharing Max with for an evening. He knew he could trust them not to throw his devotion to Max in his face. Pierre puts the cap back on the pen and hands the list back to Max.
"Are you sure that these are the people you want?" Max asks, carefully scanning the list, prompting Pierre to speak.
"Yes."
Max and Pierre take advantage of the bright lights of Vegas to try something out of their comfort zone as a last hurrah on Pierre's list.

Simon slides a book into place before turning around. The man in front of him is lean, worn thin, with bags like dusky thumbprints beneath his eyes. He’s swallowed by the massive black hoodie he’s wearing, his hands wedged deep into his pockets and his shoulders hunched.
For reasons he cannot begin to understand, Simon wants to crush this man into a tiny ball and then shove him into the mouth that gapes, screaming, around his own starved heart.
He doesn’t do that, obviously. He’s on the clock.

The omega's grip on Ghost's wrist slackens. He feels his eyelids become heavy, all the anger he had towards the alpha vanishes. His mind is open without emotions overwhelming him. He feels calm, when he looks at Ghost the alpha is still glaring at Soap.
"Ye fuckin' cunt," Soap slurs, his tongue is lax in his mouth, his limbs like jelly.
Ghost had scruffed him.

Summary
Soap paused, picking up the pen. He looked over his list. Three columns, “yes”, “no”, and “maybe”. He pulled the paper close. Hesitating, he underlined a single item, then crossed out the rest of them one by one. When he finished, he looked back at Ghost, as if daring him to say something about it. When Ghost didn’t, Soap pushed the paper over, crossing his arms over his chest.
Underlined was “kneeling” under “yes”, the only thing left on the page. It didn’t matter what the other “yes” items had been, they were very clearly in the “no” column now.
Ghost forced himself not to feel frustrated, had to admit to himself that Soap might be the most challenging sub he had ever had assigned into one of his units.
